Found this today - not sure if it is of use to anyone but here goes

Singapore to Sydney return $147 flying Scoot. I found this airfare on kayak.com.au using teh Explore botton and putting in Singapore as the home city.

It might be a cheap holiday to Australia for an Aussie expat living in Singapore.

Also Sin to to Gold Cast r/t $119 22/3 to 29/3

But wait - you want even cheaper?

How about $83 r/t Sin to Perth! r/t 27/2 to 8/3

I wonder whether, if you lived in Perth, you could buy two r/t tickets ex Singapore but only use 1 leg of each ticket eg fly out of Perth using the return leg of the 1st ticket and then return on the 1st leg of the 2nd ticket?

cheers Peter

Short answer is no.

You can generally throw away the return leg or subsequent legs in a booking but if you miss the first leg your booking will be cancelled.
