cheap flight from japan to syd?

currently in japan and due to head back to syd sometime next week. looking for a cheap (or best value) fare back to syd - any ideas? Did Jet* *class on the way over. happy to route through other asian hubs. preference for OW but open to suggestions. only need o/w but understand return might be cheaper option (with option to forfeit return leg).

A REAL quick look at ITA showed Jetstar offering a one way NRT-OOL-SYD next tuesday for AUD $631... or $649 without the 6 hour layover in OOL!!
