Cheap flight to Europe in August - Special forend of fiscal year

I would like to fly to Paris or London on the 19th of August from Melbourne for 10 to 15 days. The cheapest flight I have found is around $2300. Do you know if some companies are going to do some special for the end of fiscal year?

Look in the cheap international airfares section of the forum. There is a current lufthansa special that might cover august

Assuming you are departing Sydney 19 Aug and returning in one month 19 Sept.
Bestflights.com.au has a sale finishing on Tuesday
Virgin Atlantic shows $1879 including all taxes,etc. to London.
Singapore Airlines $1963 to London
Same dates to Paris
China Southern Air $2173

The Lufthansa Site shows for same dates as above
Lufthansa $1918 to Paris or London
