Whilst thinking about increasing my night tally with Hilton, I wondered if it might be handy to start a thread on the cheapest Hilton family properties that accrue nights.

I know Hilton Kuching has been previously mentioned, so what about others (preferably, but not exclusively, easily accessible from AU)? Where have you stayed that seems dirt cheap!

Hilton Petaling Jaya (KL) often about A$70, albeit the real Hilton KL and Doubletree KL not much more.

Non major city Hampton Inns and Hilton Garden Inns in the US after often very cheap, albeit often very average as well

If you have spare HH points the Doubletree JB in Malaysia is 20k points per 5 nights earning stay credits.

I like that idea. I'd forgotten JB. With a balance pipping 600k, I can possibly sacrifice a few points! I value a HH point at about 1/2 a cent, so $20/night....hard to beat I'd say!

Albeit difficult (and relatively expensive) to get to...
I don't really intend spending much time there, so is there a cheap(ish) way of getting there? I see it's a 4 hour drive + 20min boat trip from Kuching, but what's the cheapest way to get to Kuching? Any suggestions?

JB in Malaysia is 20k points per 5 nights earning stay credits.
I can't recall reading previously, but does the 5th "free" night also accrue a one night credit? So 5 nights or four nights increase to the tally?

They are now 10,000 ppn or 4,000 with points + pay.
Yes. Batang looks like it's the only Category 1 hotel within cooee of Australia now that JB has risen to Cat.2 and the JB P+P offers no benefit over points only and moa999s suggestions seem to be even better given it works out about the same, but rather than burning points, I'd be earning them!
