Hi all,

I have a night in LAX on 10th May 2014.
Have stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hawthorne and Haceienda.
Anyone recommend anything better I can Prebook that is on the cheap side.
I want included Non smoking room, Free WIFI, a bed and shower.
Haceienda location was good for shops.
Need Free shuttle to and from airport please.
Under $100 including tax or less the better!

Regards

Your idea of cheap might be different form mine, but if you use the Radisson you can walk from LAX, literally 3 mins from the end of the terminals.

Radisson website not working...
Tried hotelclub and told no rooms available for date :(

Americas' Best Value Inn & Suites - LAX/El Segundo (Hawthorne). Gets bagged in the reviews and cab drivers tell you its a bad neighbohrood, but I stay there every year past four years. Price is right, plenty fast food joints. As I recall cab fare is $18/$20 including LAX surcharge, and they can arrange shuttle for approx $15 back to LAX.

If you want to go through the best rate guarantee route, you can get the Marriott LAX for around $85 USD. I have a room booked there a week later for $82 USD. Not sure on wifi.

Not ot a huge amount around it but the sports bar is pretty decent and the buses to Santa Monica stop almost right outside.

Four points LAX. Me too!

all hotels close to LAX like four points etc will give free transfer to hotel and back. No need to have booked accom to ride.

they come around every 10-15 min no need to ring shuttle bus

dont forget these places also gave a day rate 0800-1700 M-F which is a bit cheaper than overnight rate

santa monica could be an alternative too

Sheraton gateway has been good for me

free direct shuttle to lax ( only about 5 min trip )

wifi in lobby / bar free....was all I needed, but could prob pay for in room wifi

business centre / gym / bar

maybe over your budget, but I've stayed twice recently and was about $120 all up.

good luck

TQ

With the Marriott West Century if I arrived too early for the room to be ready I would go to the swimming pool which is quite large then return to check in about 2 hours later dripping. That technique scored the earliest check in time and you just check in your baggage for a chit to put in your wallet.

chit to put in your wallet?
Whats the EARLY checkin times?

Arrive around 8 am and they say no rooms are ready (for non status guests) so you check your baggage into their holding area and you hold the receipt chits.
Off you go to the pool.....remembering to be just wet enough to get a room priority even though you are a smiling nobody in the status ratings.

So check your bags in with your shorts and towel.....how do you get access to pool(doors locked?) then swim for 2 hours and present wet to get early checking for 10am?

I'm into L.A at 10am!
They have free shuttle?

Fly in and out of Kona.
On a side note would you spend one night in Kona then drive and stay in Hilo for 2 nights before coming back to Kona for one night?
Did you go to the summit of volcano?

No we were there with our children and we were with a group so no volcano.
In Hawaii just enjoy the place and don't rush around.
Beach, sail and walk all work out wonderful.
