Cheapest options for quick status credits

Hi, I need 150 status credits to obtain Gold by the end of October. Trouble is, I don't have much money. Does anyone have any tips on the best cheap flight to status credit ratio options ex SYD? I've checked the current specials for domestic travel and have some draft itineraries, aiming to average about $10 per point or less.

I saw an earlier post where they were using points plus pay, but when I've tried that it seemed way too many points. Any ideas from the experts?

Grab a flight to TSV then do a JASA TSV DRW via BNE.

Thank you markis10 and gowatson for your excellent advice. Have booked hubby and self on a status run to sunny TSV. Same SCs as we got for our last status run but that time we went to DPS with JQ in overpriced 'Star Class'. (No longer viable due to changes in points allocation with JQ.)

This JASA trick is going to change our lives!

Whilst markis10 likes his favourite TSV/BNE/DRW I have flown a number of others (BNE/ADL/PER, BNE/MEL/PER and MEL/CBR/BNE).

A lot can depend on whether there are constraints in:

Points
Money
Time

I always look at all the options the search engine spits out and thankfully have had the flexibility to score multiple sector flights at a reasonable uplift from the direct option.

I only have around 30k points possibly more if I go after I get back. Cheapest and quickest ideas ex BNE would be appreciated. Oh also how do I book the massage at the Flounge?

Have you considered doing a mileage run out of BKK? Maybe BKK-HKG-TPE return (J) in one day on CX? Can sometimes be found for less than $600 and will yield 200 SCs. Or maybe BKK-HKG-MNL with an overnight stay in MNL.

As for the massage in the F lounge, once granted admittance head straight to the spa area and ask if they have any times free. If they do you can book your preferred treatment.

Whoops just noticed you're on a FASA, Serfty is right, they should call you a day or so out.

As a WP I'm required to hope there is a free spot on the day.

Though not as good as the CX run above but may have better availability, RJ J run either BKK-KUL or BKK-HKG. Return will yield 120 SC for around $500-600.
