I am booked on CX170 departing Perth at 2355 (on 18 May 2015).

Would terminal T1 be busy on a Monday night? Should I allow the full three hours to check in?

I am staying in Perth CBD the previous (Sunday) night. Hopefully I can leave my bags at the hotel during the day?

What would be the best "shuttle" to take to the airport early/mid evening on a Monday?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You'll have the qatar flight, the EK A380 and a SIA flight departing at similar times, as well as smaller planes going to bali (this is all off the top of my head). It shouldnt be too bad. traffic after 8pm shouldn't be an issue on a Monday night. Certainly however dont leave it any later than 2 hours to get to the airport, better being early rather than late.

You hotel should allow you to leave your bags, and a taxi should be easy to organise through your hotel.

I think the last time we looked into getting a shuttle service into perth CBD due to being 2 of us it worked out being cheaper/easier to get a taxi.

In general terms, I've never seen Perth Int busy or slow for a very long time. Even long, winding immigration queues (leaving AU) move rapidly.

OTOH if you are feeling extremely frugal, the Number 40 bus runs down St Georges Terrace (and Adelaide Terrace) every half hour to the domestic airport where there is a free (Transperth) shuttle bus to the international terminal.

Cathay will have their own check-in aisles so the other flights shouldn't be an issue. Most of the time immigration is reasonably quick.

Happy wandering
