Would be grateful for any opinions. A few days ago, I flew from SYD to MEL with my partner, originally booking economy class in Discount fare buckets. I am QFF Bronze presently and ended up having both my QFF number and my BAEC number (I am Oneworld Emerald via BA) in the booking on manage my booking, presumably because I had previously selected seats using the BA/OWE number; with that said, only the QFF number appeared on the physical boarding cards and app-based boarding passes. I upgraded the discount economy fare to business class using a Classic Rewards upgrade of 10,900 QFF points per person.
When we arrived at the airport, the automated bag drop terminal would only allow me to print tags for three bags, despite the fact we were ticketed in business class. My understanding is that I should have been allowed to check 2 x 32kg bags per passenger, for a total of 4 x 32 checked bags. When we asked the Qantas staff member assisting passengers with the terminals why we couldn't print a tag for our fourth bag, she said it's because we could only have the economy allowance, as we "booked on points". We were very short on time so I didn't push the issue, and the staff member let us check the small fourth bag as a checked cabin bag, so it sort of worked out.
My questions are:

My questions are:
- Should I have been entitled to the business class checked baggage allowance for each passenger? I have scoured the Qantas website but can't find a definitive answer to the luggage entitlement on points upgrades or Bid Now upgrades but the site seems to imply we should have been entitled to all business class benefits.
- Why did the system allow us to check three bags instead of two bags if it was defaulting to the economy allowance? My QFF number appeared to be dominant in the booking, so I am unsure if the third bag was due to my OW status, or was somehow related to being Points Club Plus with associated Qantas Club membership.
