After a good flight, easy transfer to the city using the regular train service at $2.25 was a successful option. One transfer required between trains and then about 7 blocks walk to the hotel. Hotel was booked through Priceline and proved to be a bargain rate ($105 Aust night). Check in straight forward & immediately joined in the free drinks that run for 2hrs each evening. These free drinks(draught beer, wine, basic spirits) & a hearty breakfast (hot or cold & option to have cooked to order) certainly made things cheap. Only restriction at the free drinks was state law means you can only take 1 drink at a time from the bar. Our room 1111 was truly a 2 room suite with 2 double beds, 3 sinks, good rain shower, 2 TVs, and reasonable view towards the Magnificent Mile & high-rises. No free wifi but available at a cost in room or lobby.
Transfer back to the airport was again easy & 70 minutes saw us standing at the airport check in.
