China Eastern reward seat available but no cash flight to book.

There is a Mel to Shanghai reward seat flight available to book on 1 July 2025. I have taken the dummy research booking as far as the passenger name field on the QF portal. However, the China Eastern website is yet to show any flights for this date. So, what gives? Will I be able to complete the booking and receive a ticket ?

Might need to take it that one step further and book it to see what happens, dude. Could be that reward inventory has been posted publicly before cash inventory, I guess?

Only other thought that crosses my mind is: is that flight a code share for China Eastern on someone else's, maybe?

I am going to go with MU is say 353 days out (or some other number) with what they'll show. It is interesting that QF may offer the inventory 361? days out though...
