Anyone out there have any experience in purchasing Choice Privileges Points under a thrid-party promotion, namely the US Travel Association's annual Daily Getaways?

Supposedly 14 business days to post from purchase but nothing has dropped 16 business days post purchase. Choice Privileges is referring me back to US Travel Association whilst the confirmation I have from them refers me to chase Choice Privileges directly - seems like one of those ring-a-rosey circles I must partake in - frustrating!

I've purchased Choice Privilege Points through the USTA's Daily Giveaways program twice thus far. On both occasions the points landed (after some delay) in my account. I can't recall if it was within the 14 business days specified but they did come in. I'd ring Choice if you haven't received them thus far. Also, if you happened to have points expire on you it might be worth giving them a call to get the points reinstated. That's what I did late last year when to my horror I noticed some points were expired, and fortunately got them all reinstated.

In terms of best places to use these, points in Australia, there are a number of hotels that have an abnormally low redemption rate. Some that come to my mind include:
  • Comfort Inn Towragdi Beech near Wollongong (10,000 point redemption for hotel that normally is roughly $170/night.
  • Quality Darwin Airport (10,000 point redemption for hotel around $120)
  • Adelaide - ton of 10,000 point/night redemptions including one that is just 6,000/night
  • Melbourne - Comfort Apartment Fitzroy - 10,000 night for hotel that is normally $180/night
Plenty of other hotels in major cities in Australia that go for 10,000 points/night, too!

Hope this helps!
