Chosen seat now unallocated - why?

I have an upcoming awards flight next Tuesday flying in business LHR > SIN and had selected my seat a couple of months ago. I'm travelling with an infant on my lap.

I log into my account tonight to enter APIS and try to take another look at my seat selection, only to see the below screenshot. I'm now a bit concerned that I no longer appear to have my chosen seat secured. This was especially important to me, as I'm travelling by myself with an 11mo baby on a 14 hour flight. Does anyone know why this has happened and what this means?

Hmmm - just checked the Qantas Flight Status page and QF2 is only showing for SIN-SYD, not LHR-SIN on 29 November. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Expert Flyer to see if everything is zeroed out for the LHR-SIN leg (a sign of looming cancellation).

Probably best to call Qantas and check your flight is still operating.

Thanks for replying. I checked the Qantas Flight status page but the latest date it allows me to select is Monday 28 Nov, not Tuesday 29 Nov, the departure date. How were you able to check Tuesday?

Does your seat still show in your booking?

That screen you have is nothing to be alarmed at. It just means all available seats to you are allocated so there is nothing to swap to, so they don't show the chart.

I checked EF and all is well, nothing to worry about.

This is the chart:

Also, while the seat map is showing on Expert Flyer, what's needed is how many seats are available. If everything is 'zeroed out', something's afoot...

It's not, I thought I said, everything is fine there.

Nothing to worry about, this happens on full flights. Main thing is your seat is still listed in your booking.

On the summary page of my booking it still states a seat number:

It's when I go to click on 'change seats' (not because i'm wanting to change; only because i'm wanting to view) that it comes up with the error page.

I know this sounds silly, but I'm almost afraid to call to confirm my booking in case an incompetent customer service agent cancels my booking! This is my first flight home to Melb in 3 years and it took so many calls to get it sorted in the first place.

No need to stress. Our F flight to LA did this because there was nothing to change to and it was all fine on the day. We were travelling with 1yo and 3yo so we were being cautious too.

Don't call, it's fine. What shows there is what you have. Cross reference with the chart I posted earlier if that makes you more at ease.

The seat map not displaying is normal.

Thanks very much, everyone, for all your help.

My seat is a blue one; I would have thought that denotes an available seat, and those with a cross indicates a booked seat? As long as the flight is going ahead and I have a seat though, all good!

No, solid blue is booked, cross is blocked, white is available (but not necessarily to you).
