Have found flights on QFF site to go SYD/HKG/LAX/SYD at the right time (have some Bus. to do in HK) question is, where is best place to book (and pay) for same flights for the wife?, could I do this via QFF via phone? as i don't normally use agents.

Just watch out for the agents that love to charge sector fee's.. I did one of the earlier this year originating in China and booked directly through AA..

Funny though, the CSO I spoke with was in QLD..

Yes experience.

Presented another trip (SYD/BKK/SYD) with all dates, flights, accom. and prices to 2 last week, both came back extra grand than doing it direct, they say "we go thru wholesalers bla bla".

That's just laziness on the part of the TA, because sure wholesalers are often used, but going direct still remains an option (its just they dont like it as they have to wait for their commission)....due to relationships ive built with hoteliers worldwide and the bonus amenities and upgrades I tend to book more direct than with wholesalers these days, but I guess it depends what clientele you're focussing on.

I don't seek business on here, I'm merely here to contribute but I do look after travel for several members at their request, always happy to assist if required, PM me.
