Presumably it would have to be someone who had the same name as the one on your credit card.Anyone want 500,000 Citibank points transferred to your partner of choice? I was originally saved these up looking to purchase a specific flight on Singapore Airlines. But it just won't out with my itinerary at all. DM me an offer if you're interested.
Good point. They autofill the name section. I wonder if that matters, so long as the member number is right. Well, I think I can experiment on a small number of points to find out. Otherwise, I would need to transfer as a proxy from my account.
Edit: Does anyone have a Singapore Airlines account that you'd like to help me test this idea with?

Looking to apply for this card a little bit later on in the year, is there a minimum income required for this card? I've seen some posts on Ozb say no but other places say yes for $150k PA?
I've also just closed an NAB card in January, as Citi is owned by NAB does this exclude me from the bonus until Jan 2025?
As mentioned by another user, Citibank seem to be running their own sh**show atm.Looking to apply for this card a little bit later on in the year, is there a minimum income required for this card? I've seen some posts on Ozb say no but other places say yes for $150k PA?

I applied for mine around July 2023 got approved for a ludicruous $57k limit and at the time I was earning around $135k gross. They didnt even do a credit check since according to Equifax the last credit equiry on my account was in April 2023 when I had applied for another card to churn the bonus points.
My buddy applied for the same card and offer a month after me and he's on $150k and only got approved for $40k limit despite us being in similar financial situations (similar mortgage sizes and monthly repayments etc).
And I've seen on other forums people getting rejected on incomes >$100k while others getting approved on incomes around $85k so I dunno what Citibank is doing but I guess there's no harm in trying unless you're not wanting to risk a hit to your credit file
It will attract an audit if transferred to a different name in KrisflyerAnyone want 500,000 Citibank points transferred to your partner of choice? Hi All,I got $350 back after requesting a discount but they didn;t come to the party at first. Tried weeks later, and it took several calls to get them to approve my request.
I called twice before being billed and they said no to discount both times. Rang straight after being billed and got $350 back. Note, I did not say I was going to cancel, just the cost was too much for the benefits and I discussed what benefits were of no value to me and they gave me the discount. As I understand it, Aust laws prevent trying to stop a customer cancelling through incentives, so that is why I did not suggest cancelling……. If your current desire is to cancel, then you should be able to be more overt and get the whole $700 back. I have never had that rejected when requested and it is not far past billing date.Hi All,
I got billed my $700 annual fee today. I had been meaning to call up and seek a reduction or indicate my desire to cancel the card.
Given they've charged me today, is there any value in still doing this? If I was to follow through and cancel the card, do the pro-rata refund the annual fee?
Just looking to be informed before calling....
Cheers
Typically it takes around 6-8 weeks from account closure date for the closure to be reflected in your credit report.Any data points on how long it takes citi to report closed cards to Equifax etc. Been over a month now and still nothing and I want to apply for a new card. @Dr Ralph
Would just apply and declare it closed. They can ask for a closure letter if they wantAny data points on how long it takes citi to report closed cards to Equifax etc. Been over a month now and still nothing and I want to apply for a new card. @Dr Ralph
There's no need to wait for your credit report to change. All you need is your cancel letter. Proactively include that with the documents you supply when applying for your new card.Any data points on how long it takes citi to report closed cards to Equifax etc. Been over a month now and still nothing and I want to apply for a new card. @Dr Ralph
