Citibank Card application simultaneously with another card

Hi guys,

I'm sorry if this has been asked elsewhere and I've missed it in my searching.

I've just aopplied for a Citi/NAB Card to access the 28 months BT offer. I think that should be beneficial.

It's asked me to upload my em,ployemnt contract which I have and my employment confirmation letter which I should get on Monday.

If in the meantime, I'm applying for another card (say the Latitude DJS card - yes, I've read the posts on that and service is meant to be pretty ordinary - I'm a sucker for punishment), might it be best to do so while the Citi card is under consideration pending provision of my employment letter since it's not an existing line (I don't even know if it will be approved) or is it best for me to space it out somewhat? I haven't applied for a card in ages.

What's the reasoning here? Depending on the timing of their 'credit checks', won't one show up on the other's radar as a credit enquiry?

I’ve applied for and been approved for latitude DJs card. I received an alert of the access to my equifax file after approval.

Haven’t seen anything from Citi yet. Assuming they will do this if my application gets to approval with them when I submit my employment letter. They will likely see the Latitude card as you suggest.

I’ll report back on my experience.

Possibly yes, not sure how long it takes to log. But at the least if I did it after approved for a seperate card I’d need to list the credit limit as another liability. So it lowers my current credit limit total slightly
