Looking at buying some cheaper SQ flights in economy. I'm still not clear on lounge access rules for VA platinum.

I believe that any SQ lounge will allow access? However if lounge is operated by a third party, say at Jakarta then what? Is there any definite guide to follow to make this clear?;

Personally, I’m “grateful” that my VA card gets me Singapore lounge access, but that’s muted a little by the fact that Platinum has no extra benefit over Gold, and you still only get the lower Gold lounge at Changi.

Also, VA doesn’t get you better seating….

Is that lounge at Changi ok? Has showers etc?

The lounge in terminal three is “new” and is pretty nice, if somewhat basic service. It’s got showers, yes. In peak times the wait (for showers) can be two hours! But in other times you get in pretty quickly. It’s pretty bright too 🌞 (in a good way)

Loads of dumplings on offer, and a Laksa stand!
Booze is not special at all haha. Still better than nothing…

The lounge in terminal 2 is older, no showers I think and a bit dark. So, personally i use the one in 3, and just leave some time to move if my outgoing flight is in another terminal….. the interior trains are great.

I don't think that's a VA thing. That's a Star Alliance thing in general and SQ isn't about to give VA better treatment than their Star Alliance partners.
