Clearing customs/immigration in SYD for a non citizen.

Hi all, I have my partner arriving from the US on QF 12 next Tuesday, I was wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea on how long it will take to clear customs/immigration for a non Australian citizen?

My pre-pandemic experience was that the queue at the service desks was often shorter than the queue for a smart gate.

I think how long it will take, will depend on how quickly they can get to immigration off the plane, whether all their paperwork is in order, and how quickly the bags come off the carousel. It shouldn't take much longer than a citizen if everything is in order.

Agree with post above - we had quick process arriving Syd last week - little/no delay for booths, a short wait for a smart gate, and Qtine was also quick - but there were no other flts at the same time. Thats yr main issue, partic when the queue builds up for quarantine..
