Does anyone know if Krisflyer will combine my 2 award bookings into a single PNR?
The wife and I are booked to fly BNE > DUS, then return MUC > BNE.
Each has a separate PNR, and one person at the call centre has said I cannot combine them into a single PNR.
Should I just HUACA?

They probably will not combine the PNRs but they should be able to link them together.

Why do you want to?

Because I'm adding a paid infant fare onto the redemption bookings. And if they're separate, I have to call the Brisbane ticketing office as well as the Munich ticketing office to have separate tickets issues. If they're the one PNR originating in BNE I can have a single open jaw ticket issued for the infant.

Makes sense. Unfortunately, I don't think you can merge a PNR - only link them (which I understand means they'll just put a note in each referring to the other). Probably insufficient for your needs.

:( oh well.
Guess I'll have to call both ticketing offices.

Gday

Im interested in how this turned out? I have booked a one way SYD-SIN-ZRH redemption and hope to book the return leg when it comes available. I potentially have to add an infant to the whole itinerary and if it is two one ways it will cost alot more than a return.

And if the return part is a Krisflyer star alliance redemption DME-ZRH-SIN-SYD would it be possible to join that to the outbound trip?

Any advice appreciated.

Pele.

Turns out I had to book 2x one ways at the higher cost. I now know I should have booked a return with any return date, and then just called up and got the return leg changed when the dates I wanted became available...
Not sure how this works under *A partner bookings, but it's free to change if the return leg is on SQ.

Hi all, I have a similar query. I am currently booked on SQ MEL-SIN-ICN-LAX, headed to YVR. I would like to add a flight to YVR on UA, then return something like SEA,ICN,BKK-MEL. Essentially I am trying to turn a O/W SQ redemption into a return Star redemption. Ideally I could get a stopover on the return, but I cannot find anything about if that applies to Star redemption's also.

Can anyone see anything to stop my plan from working?

Thanks in advance.

Somewhat related and may or may not be a stupid question but here goes. Wanting to get an award JFK-SYD but the JFK-SIN portion will be released the day before the SIN-SYD. Can I book JFK-SIN and then ring up the next day to add the SIN-SYD flight? If so will the new point cost be calculated on the whole trip ie JFK-SYD? Assume there will be a $30 change fee which is no issue.

If it's an SQ flight, you can 'modify' the redemption with zero charge.

Just wanted to comment to say I have separate one way bookings but managed to book a return flight for my infant return, paying the lower rate. I called the commercial line and insisted they could ticket a multi destination booking for my infant. Worked out approx $400 cheaper. Done 2 days ago.
