My very first redemption, 2 seats x 2 sectors, in Raffles class. There were anxious moments between online booking and my first call to the service centre thru its Australian local number. That was followed by three calls from SQ over consecutive days from the same rep and 11 days before departure, I have received itineraries and e-tickets. I am very impressed with SQ customer service.

Good to hear you have good experience from SQ service centre. I have had similar experiences where they will actually call me rather than having to chase them up. The only thing about SQ is their high taxes so it is really only worth booking in Business Saver or higher.

Yup...but try getting a business saver ex/ to Sydney now...

I can see reasonable availability on the older planes using KF miles, although they seem impossible to find using other carriers' miles.

On Call Centre Customer Service Centre: I have found it excellent.

On availaibity: No where near as good as it was. Not sure if this is due to all the Westpac KF carholders who now have earnt up balances large enough to redeem, or because the GFC has faded (more likley), or a bit of both.

However it is still in my experience much better with J availibilty than QF. Shifting from QF Awards to SQ Awards has been a great move for me.

SQ agent went out of his way to assist me in finding flights that I preferred. Looked for alternative dates and finally, he suggested and I accepted to split one of the bookings into two sectors (A to B, B to C - 2 PNRs) which costed just a few thousand miles more, whilst keeping the second booking as one (A to C).

If you dont mind flying from Brisbane, lots of availability on the A330 to SIN there, I checked earlier.

I participated in some market research for a business bank last month. There was a question like, "What other business would you like your business bank to be like?"

If SQ ran a bank in the same way they ran their airline, I'd be a happy customer.

So far I too have found all of the SIA reps to do a good job. If they could run my business bankers as well, I'd like that.

Well, if all my frontline staff engaged with our customers like the SQ rep I deal with, my business would have many more loyal customers.
