Hi there!
I have a question about velocity ff that I was wondering if you could help me with?
I'm a platinum member and my review date is 22nd August. As of yesterday I have enough status credits to gift companion gold to my husband. We are also expecting our first baby around the 20th August. I was wondering if you could help me out with deciding when would be the best time to 1. gift gold to my husband and 2. apply for my parental pause (and my husband's once he is gold). thanks for your help!

I've gifted Gold a few times (missed it by 22SCs this year). My review date is July. I've always been given until April the following year to pull the trigger and thus maximise the benefit for the recipient (depending on their travel schedule of course, earlier may suit some better but in these times, well...).

I've used pregnancy pause once for my Eldest and will again before my youngest turns 2.
Wait as long as you can, so right before you are set to lose the status to maximise the benefit.
You have until your child's 2nd Birthday to apply for the pause.

Also to note, once you have your membership on pause your still entitled to all the status WP, Gold or Silver benefits during the 6 month pause should you fly.
On recommencement after the 6 month pause, you start a new 12month period of status.
so you can receive 2+ years of status with this benefit.

Very beneficial offer by Velocity.

Hi everyone, getting many things organised for birth of our first :)

Have a question re this. Can anybody confirm whether they have started Velocity status pause before baby is born (i.e. when partner is heavily preg, off work & can't travel)?
