Hello,

Just chasing some guidance here ... over the past 12 month period, I have progressed from RED -> SILVER -> GOLD -> PLATINUM.

Currently, since 25/06/21 I have earnt 1861 SC.

From 25/06/21 to 30/01/22 I earnt 1103 SC ... earning Platinum status.

Currently, I am at 754 / 800 SC in order to 'maintain Platinum status' from 01/02/2023.

For some reason there are 4 SC that seem to unaccounted for ... minor issue.

Anyway - query is, do I yet qualify to nominate someone for 'Companion Gold' ... or, am I better off taking advantage of Family Pooling?

I am assuming, I probably already qualify to nominate someone for 'Companion Gold' ... if I were to take advantage of Family Pooling, I would be loosing SCs, and therefore behind on 'maintain Platinum status' from 01/02/2023.

Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks all.

Based on what you've said I don't think you qualify for companion gold just yet -- you have to maintain your status *first* and then earn a further 500 SCs on top of that (i.e., you need 800 + 500 = 1300 SCs since you made platinum on 01/02/22). See: Platinum Membership

Family pooling those additional 500 SCs could work too (once you have the additional 46 SCs you still need to maintain status). Whether you do it through pooling or companion the number of additional SCs required is the same. The big difference is that if you go down the pooling route that person has to fly 4 eligible sectors themselves. Companion Gold enables you to get them there without them having to set foot on a plane.

Great tip, thanks!
