Complimentary Lounge Invitations - Link Before Expiry, Use After Expiry?

Would any of the experts here know if complimentary lounge invitations can be used after the expiry date if they're linked before the expiry date? The T&Cs say:

6.1 Invitations must be used before the expiry date which cannot be extended."

But I'm not sure if the invitation is considered "used" when it is linked to a booking or when you actually set foot in the lounge.

Well they can be extended! I have emailed [email protected] when I have had a voucher that expires before my next booking and have had success in them extending validity for 3 months to accommodate this. YMMV.

No unless your flight is on JetStar. The validation when you link to Jetstar only checks the pass is valid at the time of linking. When you link to Qantas the validation checks expiry date of pass v date of flight and will not allow linking to a flight after expiry date.

Hey just wondering if it was all good? I have the same issue this weekend (linked a while back, got QR code but pass has since expired). Wondering if the name was still printed on their sheet? Thanks!

In the end the lounge wasn’t open in theme for boarding of the 0600 departure for DPS

But the linking went ok, and generated a code. As pointed out above it seems fine for JQ flights to use an expired pass, provided it was linked while valid.

Any experiences lately that may impact using a pass for a JQ flight?
Pass expires 5 December, JQ flight for family member is 10 December.
Hoping I can link now and use without issue.

Also, am SG travelling with 17 year old grandson does he come under "children under 18" rule ie does he have to be my child? (I look too old to be his Mum)
