Hello
I am wondering if any fellow travelers can clarify confusion over flights between Berlin (TXL) and London (LHR)

Looking at Germanwings or Lufhansa sites it shows Germanwings flight 4U 8462 and indicates it is operated by Air Berlin

Air Berlin website does not show any flights at corresponding times and all their flights are shown as being operated by British Airways

British Airways flights don't correspond with Germanwings/Lufthansa flights either.

Which raises the question........what carrier would I actually be flying on???

:-)

Hi Last month I flew from TXL to LHR, and the flight was operated by BA, the same flight was shown on the Air Berlin site but dearer

I flew the reverse (LHR-TXL) on BA in April (BA 984) arriving at TXL at 4pm, and turning around as BA 985 less than an hour later.

I just had a look on the Germanwings website and don't see any reason to doubt that 4U 8462 would be operated by Germanwings. I don't see any reference to Airberlin on the Germanwings nor Lufthansa websites, nor has Germanwings or Lufthansa ever sold tickets for Airberlin flights AFAIK.

Out of those airlines, only British Airways and Germanwings operate that route. LH sells tickets for 4U and AB sells tickets for BA codeshare flights.

So to answer your question, I'm fairly sure the flight will be operated by Germanwings.
