Hi AFF,

My wife and I were lucky enough to pick up a classic reward flight on QF J from SYD-JFK via DFW. The connecting flight is with AA and at the time of booking it said both flights were available in J but at the moment when I check the booking it doesn't list a travel class with AA despite being confirmed for the flight. Albeit the flight isn't until February but I am curious whether this is common when connecting with a partner airline and if they will confirm the class closer to the date or is it likely they will downgrade this sector?

Is this in the app? It’s a known issue that it does not show the travel class of some partner award bookings. You should be able to verify it on the desktop website.

Hi, sometimes for qantas reward bookings when viewed on QF 'my booking' site if the airline is not QF it simply does list the class for some reason. May have something to do with the system not recognising the other carrier's fare bucket. On your app it should show the class, and another way to confirm is to look up the booking on the actual carrier's website where you should be able to do seat selection in the correct cabin...

If it is confirmed in U class then it will be in Business (aka domestic First).
