One of the cygnets is flying QF7 to DFW tomorrow connecting to AA2350 to Mexico City. QF lands at terminal D and AA departs from Terminal O.

I understand that luggage will be checked through to Mexico City but what about immigration? Can he transit without going through US immigration? He has a valid ESTA.

Nope, no transfers , has to enter the USA and then transfer onto next flight, he’ll have to also have to collect his luggage and re check, they have a desk to do this after clearing immigration.

I believe there is no US port that will allow for ITI without skipping immigration. DFW is an airport that allows baggage to be transferred, but he will need to go through immigration then back in through security.
