Conrad SIN is so tight with their one-level upgrade for Diamonds.

Have a stay here very soon and my room has changed from King to King Executive.

May just request the extra room upgrade via the discounted upgrade offer page (cant' remember the exact name of it)S

Shame they rarely/never upgrade more than one room level as the hotel is flawless apart from that, although it must be coming close to make-over time for the rooms as the control panels are so dated!

If I wasn't a Diamond though, I wouldn't stay here. Their lounge is probably the worst of the decent hotels in the wider area- no champagne (except for special events), more limited coughtail service and it is rather small for the occupancy.

As far as lounges in general, it's nice but the Fullerton, Pan Pacific, Fairmont are all much better at around the same price for a club room (if you know where to look).

Still, I hear about 5 upcoming stays here as I am Diamond and you can't really beat a club room for $250 in Singapore.

I managed to get an upgrade from the cheapest room (which was still about 400SGD all up) to a massive suite at the SIN Conrad.

I did speak with the manager ahead of time and tell him it was my SOs birthday and they said they'd do everything possible to help... Even delivered a little cake.

Ah, you need to know what to ask for. There certainly is Champagne available, and when it is out ... there is better stuff hidden away too :)

Care t share your tips on how to ask for a good glass of champagne or martinit. a few weeks ago I was told no coughtails!!

Re: How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Their champagne on offer sitting on the cabinet near the food is Moet, but there are always a few secret bottles of Laurent-Perrier behind the bar. If you ask and you're told no .. ask someone a little more senior :)

There is no Moët there regularly, it is Chandon. The LP generally comes out on special occasions, but I'm not really DYKWIA enough to ask for it.

When it matters, I just stay somewhere else...

I've asked for it several times and had no issues getting it ......

Only ever been Domaine Chandon when I've stayed there (albeit only 3 times). Guess I'm not staying at the right times.

Selective consistancy is an annoyance at some establishments.. I feel valued at some & others as a burden.
Conrad/Hilton IME is well known for this, despite their apparent client brand loyalty.
Perception is often differing to reality deliverence.
