I have number of flights booked through the Qantas website, both domestic and international and when I try to use the upgrade function in My Bookings I get the "Contact Your Travel Adviser" message.

The flights are paid for, booked using the QF website, on QF operated aircraft with QF flight numbers and are upgradeable.

I contacted Qantas who helped me out by getting my upgrade requests sorted out, and they managed to replicate the problem. The customer services person had not come across this issue before and I wondered if anyone else here is having the same problem.

Im in the USA at the moment, Qantas has cancelled the QF108 JFK-LAX so i have had to re-route on short notice from Orlando direct to LAX..

The Agent killed my upgrade and then set it for upgrade again, so i dont like my chances now :(

As to the bookings, I cant access any of my bookings on the Qantas website at the moment, so i wonder if its a wider issue at the moment.

Cheers
FUZZ

Possibly assocaited with QF's A380 problem (and the B747 in SIN)

My booking has been showing that for about a week. QF say vaguely "we've been having a problem".

I too have had this problem 2 or 3 times now. Am going to Perth on Tuesday and wanted to upgrade my return flight on Friday but couldn't because of this dratted message.
Called Qantas but their customer service could not do anything about the message and also couldn't do the upgrade as the seats had not been released for upgrade at that time, will try again tomorrow and see if i can get a better result and also try to find out what triggers this message in the first place. :-|

Yes we have got this problem as well-and it was occurring before the SIN flyovers.

Same problem here....called customer service and they set up the request.

Am having a "9102" problem with Tuesday's flight. Cannot do anything including seat selection.

Am currently in BKK so cannot ring QF very easily. My Monday flight is fine so who knows what is happening?

9102 is an Amadeus API code that apparently means "CABIN AVAILABILITY". Is this for a reservation booked by a TA? Am thinking that maybe QF's system isn't reading the booking properly.

Try pulling your booking up at www.checkmytrip.com

Thanks for that CMT has the same result, i.e. a 9102 error. Yes it is booked through the work travel agent. Am currently in the BKK J lounge so will follow up tomorrow morning when back in Australia.

Yep having this problem now.
Wanting to call Qantas now but even at 1am they're having high call volume.

yep I'm having the same problem. have told reservations about it and they had had others with it too but didn't really seem like they were doing anything about. sent an email to the service centre and they asked me to send a screen dump so I did. hopefully they have someone looking at it. this has happened to me three times on domestic bookings recently.

I had a changed booking; QF16 to QF108/QF520 which it showed my seats. Since I didn't get on that flight the new booking shows the error that everyone seems to have and I can't select seats.

And the upgrade I did have has now gone, but I really don't want to pay my way for an upgrade.

Qantas if you are listening and since I don't have seat assignment a seat in PE would be nice, if I get stuck in economy without an exit row, then you will get a letter, and it will be the last time I want to help you out.

Works for me now, for all the good it did me on an upgrade request.

I wonder how many seats I might have missed while the system was misbehaving?
