I stayed here about two years ago now. I had stayed in a Club room which gave access to the club lounge which provided extra benefits such as breakfast, daily happy hour and snacks. It was quite an enjoyable stay.

Here are some pictures.

Long time lurker, first time poster...

Has anyone stayed here recently? I've got a 24 hour stopover in December (arriving 9.40pm local time) from Melbourne, so thought it would be the easiest (it's also my first long haul flight - on to Manchester). Also need recs for a 24hr stopover on return. Any help appreciated.

I had a short overnight stay there a few weeks ago (also arrived on QF9 about 2130hrs).
It’s definitely very convenient, and perfectly adequate, but really nothing special. So with 24 hours to kill I’d be inclined to stay somewhere in the city for about the same price.

I would agree, downtown will offer more options often at better pricing, and much better food options as well which is all part of the Singapore experience.

Yeah I agree, but the hotel is in a good location if you have an early flight or just don't want to lug baggage around. In Dec, I caught up with an AFF'er who was passing through SIN at the same time as me. We met up at their hotel and we headed to a nearby hawker centre that I like. [East Coast Parkway Hawker Centre]

I think the taxi fare back to the airport from ECP around 1am was only ~$SG15 (including the late night surcharge), and I just found the airport hotel more convenient for that trip than heading into town. It was only one night.

8 hrs or less then Changi otherwise head downtown, especially with the AUD being so strong.

SWMBO and I overnighted there in February (6pm-8am).

It's an easy walk from T1 arrivals to the train and T3 with the hotel.

There is a "modern" Hawker Style food hall in the basement of T3 along with a small grocery store where some beverages and night-time snacks can be purchased.

Yes we stayed and it was very convenient for a 10 hour stopover.
I ended up phoning to get the right price as the web price was high.
My son thought the food was expensive so Serfty mentioned where to get supplies.
If you have a Club card it does get you points.

I stay there quite often - I prefer it over the hotels in the city. If you request a runway view, it's like living in an airport viewing lounge . Here are some photos from my room at the CP Changi...

Thanks for your post markis10 on getting the best price using the card. Have only used one night so I am $100 behind you by not knowing.

I stayed there on Saturday with my family on the way back from Athens. Check in was slow - my wife commented that she got the rookie on the desk. We booked 2 rooms at short notice and although they were on the same floor, they were a long way apart. The building has all the ambience of a prison block in the corridors but the rooms were OK. Wifi was expensive - $S29 per day - and user unfriendly on an iphone. If I'd done the checkout, I would have refused to pay it. Room service was quick enough and low average quality. Wifey used the pool and was happy with it. Smooth checkout.

No aircraft noise but plenty of sound from a nearby banging door.

Overall, OK. I'd stay there again for its convenience but without much enthusiasm.

Thanks for all the comments! On everyone's advice I've decided not to stay at the airport. I'm tossing up between the Royal Plaza on Scotts and the Mandarin Oriental. Any preferences? Any recs for getting them at a good rate?

It's those sorts of killer views that make it a perfect transit hotel- but if I've got more time I'd always aim for the Conrad, or Swissotel the Stamford.

The most comfortable airport hotel I've ever stayed at, with the most spacious rooms. Silly lifts and poor food options, but hey....can't beat the view, particularly if you've little time in sing.

Hey there - I know this thread has been dead for 12 months, but am seeking your thoughts about the same hotel. Have organised a daytime booking for family as I didn't want to be airside for the at the airport hotel. Our bags are scheduled to be checked all the way through Europe, but looking at the hotel's website, we can do bag checkin at the hotel. I was thinking this sounded attractive, as it meant that we could request that the staff at Darwin Airport only check our bags through to SIN, grab our bags (saving us having to lug around winter clothes during the day in SIN) and then get changed into something more reasonable to December in Munich. PLUS - we only have to move our bags once (ie we don't have to take them back to standard T3 checkin with SQ). Any experience with this?

It's an easy wheel of a luggage trolly between the hotel and any of the terminals.

They keep a few spare carts near the hotel lobby for guest use (well more like a corral where they keep them between guests bringing and other guests taking).

We decided to wheel the luggage ourselves due to timing constraints.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Love the runway views but haven't been able to justify parting with the $$ as yet...for a 5 hour transit where only shut eye is required the airport transit hotels cant be beat...

I'm sharing the same view - I asked for checkin to match MI redeye from DRW, and they could only guarantee 11am, with departure by 7pm. Will probably cancel the booking.
