We will be in Honolulu end of Feb on cheap JQ fares and have decided to go on to the USA for a few weeks, currently looking at a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale on March 3rd for 7 nights. I have prices from local agent which seem to compare well with overseas sites and maybe a bit safer to book but just wondering whether anyone had used AA for their cruise bookings and associated flights. Prices look OK. I have an AA number but with a 0 balance but on their website it says you can earn points on the flights and the cruise itself. It does have a bit about if your from overseas and paying with with an overseas CC then to call them on an 800 number ....not sure how that would all pan out. The ship is the Allure of the Seas doing an Eastern Caribbean run. All very much up in the air at the moment and just want to ensure we get best prices for flights/cruise and earn rate. Any help is much appreciated. The other option is to fly HA which I believe now goes from Honolulu to Fort Lauderdale

You could always do a comparison on www.vacationstogo.com who we used to book a cruise ex SJU on Celebrity Summit.

The booking side of it went well as you can call toll free from Australia however they mucked up the onboard credit & still owe us USD100.00.

It may be better to search for an operator who can sell you a lower cruise fare thus eliminating the need to chase people up for shipboard credit owing to you.

I believe US Air also can sell cruises which will credit you with points in their US Dividend Miles freq flyer program.

If you did a cruise ex SJU you could probably get a reasonable KUPP fare ex HNL which may be cheaper than HNL/FLL.

For airfares in whY HNL/FLL maybe do a comparison on www.priceline.com for the best value fare then go directly to the airline website to book it.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
