CX Aircraft AUS - HKG

Hi All

To those CX experts out there.

I am planning for a trip next year to HKG with CX in J. I would like to experience their new J and avoid their Regional Configuration.

Does anyone know -

1. Does CX use Regional or New J for ADL-HKG?
2. Does CX use Regional or New J for SYD-HKG?

No dates at this stage so I'm unable to provide more details. Just general planning.

I'm not sure about ADL, but SYD has all new J

Just for clarity, CX have three relevant J configs;

Regional
Old new J (sloping green)
New new J (herringbone)

I only have had Old new and New new flying SYD to/from HKG.

ADL is all new J as the service is linked up with MEL which gets all new J.

Bit of a lottery working out what you will get next year, as things can change quickly however the Adealide route is currently scheduled to have the two class new long haul layout next year, but may change to a EQV lisitng without notice!

I only have had Old new and New new flying SYD to/from HKG.

So is there a non-regional product? And what does that consist of? Clearly I made an incorrect assumption that Regional = Sloping Green and Non-Regional = Herringbone.

Regional is the level below sloping green...

Regional is the level far-far below the sloping green.... lower than QF premium economy.

And just to make things fun, they love a last-minute change of aircraft with CX (I know...) from new J, two rungs down, to regional J

Ok just for perspective - here are the various levels of CX inflight product.
Regional J:

Cathay Pacific - What's Onboard : Travel Classes > Other Inflight Products

Old New J

Cathay Pacific - What's Onboard : Travel Classes > Other Inflight Products

New new J

Cathay Pacific - What's Onboard : Travel Classes > New Business Class

By next year I would be confident that all CX Aus flights will be herringbone J product on 2-class A330-300 aircraft. That is of course unless they change again!
