Today when I checked PVGSYD availability, I got this result:
CX*** PVGHKG
CX*** HKGCNS
QF*** CNSSYD

Is this a good sign of CX will be back online?

Anyway, the award booking website seems down again at the moment.

Could be a good sign but don't forget CX award availability was online again recently and then disappeared.

I wish someone would glue it in place John...

CX award bookings open up a whole new playground to Asia that we dont have access to presently (easily at least)

Create either a BA account (difficult when in Australia), or a CX account. Both have access to the award seats. Find one you like, and then harass Qantas by phone and also request they waive the fee for assisted booking...

Yes I also noticed CX appeared Monday (from memory) and I was shocked.

I was really shocked at how many extra points CX wanted for the flights when compared to QF!

More to the point, how much Qantas want to charge you for using a partner award. Hiowever, the point requirements have long been published, so shouldn't have been a gigantic surprise.

The way around this is to, if possible, add another Oneworld airline to make your trip a OneWorld award, which must include two Oneworld airlines other than QF. If you're going to Europe, you can do QF, BA and CX (or AY, IB etc) in one itineary fairly easily.

Having CX availability online makes trip planning using Oneworld awards much easier!

CX award booking certainly seem to be back online for the foreseeable future.

Unlike last time's short lived effort where all CX flights showed as having award availability, the availability varies. e.g. Some flights show J availability but no Y and vv.
