Do higher tier members of CX Marco Polo get better award seat availability than lower tiers? How about compared to a QF WP?

I can't find any reference that they do, but thought it couldn't hurt to double-check.

There's a chart showing the order of priority on CX in the master thread on FT. I don't know if it covers award availability, but from recollection CX MPC Gold is above OWE's from other alliance members in the list.

Thanks for pointing me to that thread, I haven't spent a lot of time on FlyerTalk (yet). Re the order of priority, do you mean the one listed in FlyerTalk Forums - View Single Post - READ THIS FIRST | Cathay Pacific FAQ thread: Everything you want to know about CX, which shows the order of priority for op-ups?

Ahh yes, that's what I meant, couldn't remember if it related to all or not. Sorry. But failing here, a search there might yield more results, as most of the MPC members here are only members because they were comped status through AMEX ;)

Why do you think I'm asking?? :D Trying to figure out if CX Gold makes it easier to use AsiaMiles (as per topic of this thread), and whether I'd get treated better as a CX Gold or QF WP when flying on CX metal.

Exactly why I'm saying you'd probably get better responses on FT or even MP.

Considering in the past you've had to mainly call up QFF to book award flights on CX, I'd imagine you'd have a better experience with MPC, however I'm not sure what's changed now CX have Amadeus.

But for treatment I think you'd do better as a OWE than MPC Gold. My mum is MPC Gold and rarely gets noticed, my dad is MPC Diamond and gets noticed regularly. From all reports on AFF, QF WP's are noticed on CX, but for that previous thread, you'd probably do better with op-ups as MPC Gold.

There's always more benefits with the home program of any airline, but being top tier of the alliance isn't bad either.
