I beg somebody to find the thread that was suggesting CX were slow posting miles and that 30 days for some and that it could be a cash flow issue or something....

Well my CX and KA miles just posted within 3 days. :)

Even google could not find the thread i wanted :(

Never have a problem with CX miles posting, usually within 2-3 days. KA though, is a different matter, generally takes the full 28 days to post (wait the recommended 14 days for them to turn up, then make a missing miles claim, then wait for 14 days for them to post).

Only one of my KA flights has posted without needing to put in a missing miles claim.

Well it was a post in response to a question or comment a few days ago.

But i have never had issues with KA either, neither has ever taken longer than a week.

Then again maybe i am blessed because i always seem to also get the great CX crews etc :)

My CX and KA flights take on average about 7 days to post.

Afraid that was not the one, it was only a thread int he last 2 weeks. Very odd, but anyway :) now we all know some are lucky to have fast posting some are not... such is life.

My last few trips with CX have posted within 5 days and the latest posted within 2 days. Sometimes there are conflicting issues with booking classes, especially if op-uped, but generally I have not had issues.

I have noticed that CX posts the points to QF every Tuesday night. So, on Wednesday, it show on QFFF.

Well I flew CX from LHR>HKG>SYD on November 20 and I'm still waiting for
the points to appear on my Qantas FF account.
I submitted a claim for missing miles on Dec 6 and the claim was denied as
I had claimed for the flight from LHR to SYD as one flight.rang QFFF and was told it was a "invalid city pair" because CX don't fly LHR>SYD and that
I should resubmit the claim as LHR>HKG and HKG>SYD .
I did this on DEC 7 but am still waiting for a result.
I must say both the CX flights were great,Food was excellent, good seats, friendly service.all in all a good experience.and CX's refurbished A330's on the HKG-SYD leg was excellent, heaps of leg room even in economy.

I am overseeing a HKG to ADL missed points to QFF (a CX flight).

The automatic claim has failed and a copy of documentation was submitted by post to the QFF Service Centre in Melbourne. This was submitted early December and claimant still waiting.

This is disappointing given that QFF number is plasted all over the reservation, boarding passes etc etc.

From my own experience, only QF and BA posts well automatically. AY, AA, CX seem to require lots of manual intervention and even then it takes time.

I have enquired as to why this is and it seems that the QFF Service Centre does not trust passengers and insists on checking with the individual airline concerned.

Note that for WHY, earning on CX flights for QFF is restricted to classes YBHKLMV - other than Y all earn ½ QFF points per mile.

Yes I was the guilty party of the second instance, with CX being party of the 1st part. It did take precisely 30 days for the CX flights (super cheap Dclass exCMB) to post to my AA account.

And yes that included the separate Hclass CMB-SIN (the original coupon SIN-CMB posted within 3/4 days). And the AA PLT FF number and OW Sapphire appeared on all boarding passes.

Still wandering

Finally got a reply from QFFF about my points claim-No Luck ,this is what my activity statement says.

29 DEC 08 UNSUCCESSFUL - INELIGIBLE CLASS
CX 252 FIRST 20NOV08 LONDON (HEATHROW)/HONG KONG
29 DEC 08 UNSUCCESSFUL - INELIGIBLE CLASS
CX 139 FIRST 21NOV08 HONG KONG/SYDNEY

Damn!

NIGELINOZ, can you advise what booking sub-class you travelled in.

Your post indicates FIRST as the cabin.

You may need to email CX to find out the actual booking class code (letter).

Here is their Oz email address: [email protected]

From post #11, I would say an economy class of some sort

I flew first ,but one of my friends flew economy class which is why I commented on the legroom ,I checked out his seat to see what it was like.

Seems unusual to have a first class fare ineligble. A and F are both eligible.
