CX Sydney to Paris in Oct/Nov 2023 - Flight availability

I'm looking to book two return business class flights on CX from Sydney to Paris.

Depart Oct 15 2023
Return Nov 2 2023 or thereabouts

I checked last week and there were business seats available for around $8,500 per person.

I checked again just now and all flight availability on the return leg has disappeared. No economy, premium economy or business. The last flight available is on Friday 28 Oct 2023.

I changed dates to mid Nov to early Dec and still no flights available.

Did CX just cancel all flights in November? What am I missing?

Well I went to my AA account and they didn’t have CX listed for the return but they did have interesting fares via the US for roughly the same price. One included the QF A380 outbound and the BA A380 on the return.
The flights between the US and Australia were on QF.

PS just looked at the CX site and it says that from 28/10 all flights to Australia are fully booked or unavailable.
Maybe they are rethinking their schedule to Australia. Hopefully adding more flights.

I was about to book those flights to Paris last week but didn't.

Hopefully like you said they're releasing more flights at different times/dates, which should mean the prices would come down!?

Maybe though I don’t think you can count on it. But if they put on extra flights they shouldn’t go up.

Hong Kong basically got rid of all entry restrictions for visitors except for day 2 PCR test so perhaps that could be what prompted the schedule rethink?
