Date for new DOM upgrade process

Just wondering if I missed a communicated date for the new domestic upgrade process:

In 2012, we'll be introducing a domestic registration process for Flight Upgrade Awards on Qantas operated flights (with a QF flight number on your ticket), where your upgrade request cannot immediately be confirmed. Confirmation of a successful domestic Flight Upgrade Award from the point of booking, as well as the ability to request 'on departure' Flight Upgrade Awards will remain available. If your Flight Upgrade Award is confirmed after you have registered, where possible we'll notify you with an SMS† so you can maximise the time to prepare for your upgraded Qantas journey.

Just been trying to upgrade flight home tomorrow and no sign of the waitlist option - I assume the delay is due to waiting for IT coding changes...
