For the first time ever I have had a flight where the SC have not posted automatically :!:

It was LA801 last Monday 30th November. Qantas now tell me this could take up to 6 weeks to resolve which makes me  unhappy. Any other time I probably would not worry but on this occasion it delays me returning to QF Platinum after my year as Gold. The impact is that I will probably miss out on the SYD F lounge experience on Thursday morning as I leave for NZ. Missing a couple of J lounges and the AKL F lounge are not quite as big a deal.

Not the end of the world but a pain in the butt.

Sandra at QF was sympathetic and said she would do what she could to help but no promises in speeding up the process :!:

If you've furnished them with a BP i'm not sure why it should take 6 weeks to resolve?

BTW - LAN credited almost immediately for me - was there an issue at the time (delay, change etc), or has it just not posted?

No significant delay (15 min) and I have used the flight before and there has not been an issue.

Re the boarding passes they have not asked for them and to my embarrassment I cannot find them. (I can give you every other one for the last 6 months) I have the baggage receipts, all the booking details incl that it was the outbound leg of a return so it has obviously been flown.

I'll just keep looking for the BP's.

I am in the same situation. I was on LA801 on the 1st of Dec last week and I need the SC's for my Silver requalification. It still had not showed up so I lodged a missing points report with QF.

If it takes 6 weeks, than I would miss my qualification as it ends Dec 09.

However, got home today and I noticed Qantas has already sent me my Silver card for next year ! Small miracles......:)

Can't complain...
Cheers

PS I noticed my new card has all the details printed on it now instead of being embossed like in previous years....Cheaper to produce, I imagine...

LAxx_ flights sometimes don't post automatically. Not sure why (probably slackness on Lan's side of things).

If you have the boarding pass, it should only be a few days for it to post. Without the boarding pass, things will take longer - but I believe Qantas can still track it down and credit it (obviously bag tags would assist in proving you were actually on the flight ! )

Thanks everyone.

I plan to ring them again in the morning and push the ticket and the luggage tags. Or with a bit of luck they will post over night.

I notice you have got Silver status already but assuming that it did take 6 weeks for the flight to post it will be backdatd to coincide with the actual date the flight was taken. So if you needed those SCs to requalify Silver then you would still requalify Silver although a few weeks later than the reassessment date.

I rang QF FF again this afternoon and Karen went out of her way to help me which was made difficult by me losing the boarding passes .

Karen then rang me back and said after speaking with the supervisor she was willing and able to accept a copy of the luggage tags as proof of flight. Unfortunately they were both in my wife's name (there is a lesson) so eventually she looked up the booking reference. As the missing flight was the first leg of a return ticket she could see that the flight had obviously been completed and then sanity prevailed.

SC's posted and status has been changed to Platinum. :D

p.s. Sues SC's have not been posted but no issue as she is not flying again until February.

Congrats and enjoy your FLounging, some of us have to work on Thursday or I would have made a detour via Sydney to get to New Zealand.

Its great not to have to think of that horrible 4 letter word.Even though I still exchange my time for dollars I no longer consider it that horrible thing.Besides I decide when I will do it.
Now back to planning the next trip;)
And great re the outcome.

I think on the way home I will be happy to get to the airport around 5:00am and go straight to the gate so I can sleep on the plane, in Sydney I am flying back to Brisbane in J.

Sydney F lounge would have been nice, but I guess I already been there twice this year.
