Would like some advice & seasoned travellers in regarding to Denver & Austin. Is it crazy to try and drive up to Glenwood Springs to view the mountains & hot springs or time would be better be spent in exploring Austin? Personally I'd rather try get up to the mountains & springs, but I hear Austin is a really cool place to check out & the people are really nice there.

have only been through denver on the way to steamboat springs/ breckenridge etc. fantastic skiing.

lived in austin for a semester during college. visited pretty much every year since. wild times. (met my fiancee there 4 years ago)

how much time are you looking at? plenty of cheapish direct flights where you could potentially do both if time permits.

Visited Austin as a part of a US trip this feb/march. Three days there after flying out of a snowstorm in Fort Worth. Austin was a fair bit warmer, I'm not much into the music scene so it wasn't a bucket list city for me but there were still plenty of enjoyable things to do - very good street food and I had a good airbnb host. Check out the TR and PM if you want me to find their details for you

Doing a status run whilst in the USA, so I've only got 24 hrs in Denver. Initially was thinking of driving to Glenwood Springs & stay at Glenwood Hot Springs overnight, just to view the mountains & soak in the hot springs during the Winter. Then drive back to DEN-JFK the next evening. Music isn't quite our scene as my traveling buddy & I have live audio, lighting production background working on shows, and just taking a break from that scene while on holidays. If time is better spent in Austin then I'd take up that advice instead.
