DHC8 QL Flight Seat Allocation

ON QL flights seat selection is not available. Are seats assignments done by status or fare price when QL allocate the seating.
I always get seated by the propeller. I just got gold and I'm still getting seats by the propeller.

Depends where you fly to/from I fly Mildura leg often and I always get seated no further back then 3. You will be surprised how many gold/platinum ppl are on flights. I'm only gold too. As long as I get a window I'm happy

It has more to do with loadings at the time u checkin rather than status. I promise there will be non status sitting forward of u for no reason other than having checked in after u.

I often have been given row 3 as WP and non members on my booking given row 1 and 2 even visible on online checkin.

QLink doesnt work properly like QF mainline.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would imagine that where the weight is loaded would be a lot more sensitive for smaller planes, so seats are probably allocated roughly based on check-in order rather than status.
