Hi,

I'm new to this sight so I apologise if this question is unusual.

I have booked a last minute flight on classic rewards this thursday to fly to LA from Sydney to be with my fiance for a short period.
I booked the seat on a whim and was planning to stay until the 6th of July so as to attend a close friend's wedding on the 4th of July of all dates?.. Americans..

Anyway, it appears the only date now available for classic rewards is that date, the 4th... and otherwise the flight on the 6th back to Sydney is 145,000 points... not really a great option as opposed to 48,000.

So.. my desperate question is- should I take the 4th of July flight, and then try change it with some serious charm and see if they'll push me to the 6th? For those that may have some experience in this field, is this possible? Or will I have to wait for the next allocated classic award flight date?? If so.. I definitely dont' want to do that.

Are there any other options that anyone knows of for this type of situation?

If so, I would REALLY truly appreciate any help.. I'm a bit stuck.

Cheers

Nick
