discount annual virgin lounge membership?

hi does anyone know of discount velocity lounge annual membership?

I'm red status and $569 for a year is a bit steep!

Id be careful with Priority Pass if a lot of your travels are likely to be domestic as I believe Virgins Lounge is dropping support for PP really soon (might have already happened). If/when that happens I don't think there will be any lounges left in Australia that will accept PP.

As for as $569 for The Lounge membership, goodness, used to be steep at $386 or whatever it was at the start of the year. Very few lounges available and membership not useful out of Aus (unlike QP which is useful internationally if you are careful).

Yes, one of the travel agents that's affiliated to us is offering "corporate" membership for $269 / year. That's not too bad but much better than $569!

When I went for a tour of the new MEL Lounge last week, it was suggested that I might like to stay and enjoy the facilities as I had a Priority Pass.

A corporate scheme for AFF members is currently being investigated. Admin and the company reps will let us know when there is more news. Hopefully that will be soon!

The price you are quoting includes the joining fee.

Annual Membership

The standard Virgin Australia lounge annual membership fee is $369 (including GST) plus a one-off joining fee of $199* (including GST). This includes unlimited entry and access to all the benefits of the Virgin Australia lounge for the member and one complimentary Guest (accompanying the member).
Velocity Silver members can purchase their annual membership at a discounted rate of $249 (including GST), with the joining fee waived.

No. You are right to question, my apologies to all. Did a snoop around and really no chatter about PP losing access to The Lounge so I should, and will, stop relaying this rumor.

It appears the PP holders will get plenty of notice should the worst happen. Looks like at least 8 months notice has been given (likely longer) for the removal of access for certain card holders to the United lounge in MEL.

Slightly off topic maybe but I hope still relevant to the topic of Virgin lounges,Aus BT has a good article about the Virgin corporate lounge at Gold Coast Stadium ,it looks impressive,lets hope the new lounge at OOL is similarly impressive.
