Re: Kuwait and other Gulf States to ban gay visitors.

I don't know if I'd put Japan in the same category as India.
Why? Both extremely racist, arrogant wherever they travel around the world and I believe do not take in their quota of refugees/migrants.

But other than that I see how they are different....

O/T...

Not sure about arrogant. Certainly being arrogant in Japan - whether or not you are Japanese - will see yourself being snubbed or pounded back into your place. Racist, I can see that (though not in the direct manifestation of how we understand 'racism', if we know what that is).

IIRC you are a right political supporter, so whether or not they meet their "quota" of taking in refugees or migrants is immaterial, because certainly under the new leadership in this country it is believed that we will not meet ours either (if there is a "quota") - unless you're a skilled migrant, skilled student or have plenty of money.

Thank God for that. We have more than met our quota for a long time. About time we had a break.

By the way this is not political but the whole civilised world has been trying to limit the number of third world refugees/migrants on their doorstep for many years. The years where migrants contribute to the growth of the country are long gone. UK is a perfect example of that theory.

The French probably have the same or worse experience than Britain

Re: Kuwait and other Gulf States to ban gay visitors.

The Italians tried to solve theirs by paying for their migrants to move elsewhere and possibly "help" the French and British.

No, in relation to refugees/migrants.

Except if Silvio finds them sexy. Then they even get diplomatic immunity!

And now we have another silly thread that was not created by, nor the intention, the OP.

Re: Kuwait and other Gulf States to ban gay visitors.

And then you have the us who denies the issue, yet relies on it to run the economy.

The number of refugees around the world, social or economic, is a disgrace. The UN is a toothless tiger, and while I am not a fan of the US military machine, often early intervention may have helped things

Re: Kuwait and other Gulf States to ban gay visitors.

And there is a classic comment..

"Not a fan of the US military machine..." (But expects the USA to step in and use it to fix problems elsewhere)!

Having ones cake and eating it... much?
