Diverted Flights

Was wondering if anyone's had any experience getting upgrades/extra SC/extra points/anything when Qantas has diverted a flight you were on...?

Yesterday Qantas flew the planned Perth-Karratha flight via Kalgoorlie to drop off two engineers to fix another one of their planes - which added an extra hour and a half to the normal 2 hour journey...

Not exactly what i'd had in mind for my saturday afternoon considering it was my second flight for the day!

Were the two sectors under 1 flight number? If so I believe you are out of luck;-)

Yeah - they just changed the destination to KGI KTA... one flight number...

One flight number so will be what ever is earned for that flight.

I was once on a flight that had a technical issue and we had to turn around and go back to TSV.

We had been in the air for app 30 mins and there was no engineering staff in Mky so we turned around and went back to TSV.

They said we have an issue and the closet Q engineer is back in TSV even though we are closer to Mky.

No extra points or SC's
