I wonder if the chances of DJ finally taking up the BNE-SIN-AUH route have increased with SQ pulling out of AUH from October?

Yes indeed they do.

Only one flight a day though:

10:20 Abu Dhabi (AUH) 22:20 Changi (SIN)

EY470

19:40 Changi (SIN) 23:25 Abu Dhabi (AUH)

EY473

From an aircraft utilisation perspective its nor dissimilar to the current VA AUH-KUL role.

Well if SQ couldn't make it profitable I don't see how DJ suddenly will. Do DJ even have onward carriage rights out of SIN? Personally I think international exposure to be highly risky. You either make loads or lose loads because of the fixed costs. It does however seem where DJ is going these days and I'll be watching with interest...sort of...maybe not at all.
