Greetings

Has anyone had this problem? It's less than 24 hours before my flight. I was trying to check in for myself and my partner, travelling on two separate booking numbers. When I tried to do the OLCI at the same time (one on desktop computer and one on mobile), both bookings came up with the same seat only. No other seats are available for selection.

I then made a call to the call centre. That's all she could see as well! She had no idea what the problem was, but said the flight was not full.

Well that's gotta change if one of the bookings takes the one seat. Not that this helps.

Not necessarily, maybe its a ryan air style initiative, passengers who sit on other laps get free food and drink for not taking their own seat ;)

In case anyone is interested in the ending to this story...

Went online again that night, I have been automatically assigned the last remaining seat, so i went through with the check in process. Tried my partner's booking ref next and no more seats were available for selection at all.

Next day, headed to the airport early just in case the flight is indeed overbooked. Went up to the kiosk. A message came up saying to see guest services. So then queued at the check in line. At the counter, the nice check in lady offered to seat us together in the exit row! We agreed and she trashed my home printed boarding pass. Woohoo! Happy ending...

Nice result from a shakey start.
