Was just booking a SYD-BNE return on the DJ website and noticed something....

I think it's unlikely that they've sold every seat in PE for the day, and also that not a single flight will be on PE-equipped metal either.

Any ideas?

Very odd. Thought it maybe a weekend thing, but no Y+ is there the next sunday, and there on saturday.

Seems to be system wide - Sunday 13 June. Not a single Y+ fare sale, on any route that particular day!

i believe that VB are changing to a new res system over queens b'ay wkend, maybe that why there are no PE fares

Or perhaps something more sinister is about to happen to PE <cue scary music>.

Meh it couldn't get much worse, I'd cue <positive music> and say there may be positive change! Like ripping them out and replacing with a version of Starclass maybe ;):p

I asked the phone agent this arvo while I was asking about getting an aisle seat (which was a success btw) and she told me that if it says that PE says not available, and you book a corp. plus fare, you will be seated in the PE seats and have the same fare rules as PE, not sure as to wether this information was 100% true, but thats what I was told

How much is the PE fare above a corp. plus fare normally anyway? I can understand it would vary by route, but are we talking a lot more, or a little.

PE is $50 more than Corp Plus on SYD-BNE, according to the fare rules Corp Plus doesn't seat in PE rows so maybe that is an unofficial practise. Only difference I can see between classes would be included Live2Air and Food/Drink.

Thanks crazydave....any info on possible advantages the new system might have for us?
Yes, it will provide the guest recognition capabilities we have been waiting on. For example storing and allocating seat preferences, being able to look after Gold and Silvers with priority when a flight is cancelled and a bunch of secret goodies that we will announce and roll out.
cheers

Crazydave98, will it be possible to book multi-trip flights on DJ or VA under from the new system?
