Im looking into making some bookings within the US and was wondering when/if DL will earn SC with Velocity. Currently the website states that SC earn is "coming soon". Does anyone know when this might be and if J and F Sc earn will remain the same?

sorry i got no idea when they are announcing the details of SC with delta, maybe they might announce it in december around the same time as their relationship with singapore airlines is made official... have you considered booking with virgin america instead?

I was in the BNE lounge on Thursday previewing their advanced November copy of Voyeur. The Velocity earning table now shows DL as a status credit earner, so this will be implemented sometime in November.

It also mentions that the DL codeshare is to commence on 6 November, so this is most likely the day that status credits will be able to be earned, but please don't quote me on this point.

lol so they have updated the magazine but not the website...

Small point - unless you're flying F with VX, there is no priority for anything, nor is there any sort of lounge access at most ports (and where there is, you have to pay for it - though the VS lounge at SFO was worth every cent I paid).

Excepting certain routes, I'd be flying DL over VX as well.

what about as a velocity gold??

Not really. Virgin America doesn't fly where I need to go and DL has some great J/F fares on offer. But thanks for the idea.

Yeah delta's network is far wider than virgin america. Their routes are quite limited. Plus I checked out dl j fares and you are right the have deals. It is an excellent way to clock up sc

Magazines do need to be printed, so there's some extra lead time with them. BTW, the magazine is on the website as well, and it's still the October edition: Voyeur : October 2011, Page 1.

Having said that, I'll be checking the link above as well as Earning Status Credits | Velocity Frequent Flyer come 1 Nov, as I want to book some DL flights for December, and have been holding off for the "coming soon" status credits.

Hay wilco, notzac just posted another thread, velocity updated their website today to show you can earn SC on delta flights now.
