What is interesting as you can see from the picture is tight turns seem to be permitted which is ideal if like me you are looking to earn/retain Delta status for the minimum spend possible (For those of US non-US resident Delta only requires flying 50,000 miles in coach on a number of core airlines to earn status with it even being possible to earn status without setting foot on a DL plane).

Yes I know you have to connect in the US, which means for those who aren't Canada/US citizens or don't hold Global Entry have to deal with customs formalities, but for those who can stand it and want a cheeky trip to the land of peas and pie, it may be worth it.

Does the return in Premium mean Y+, because for AUD3395 that seems a good deal. Long way round, but more comfortable.

Edit: just checked for myself and I see that Vietnam airlines will do Y+ SYD-LHR return for under $3K. Or MH/WY in J for under $6K. But that doesn’t help as a DL status run of course.

I'm seeing $3,700 AUD:

Actually Vietnam will do Premium Economy for $1900 AUD (unsure if that's a good deal given it's Vietnam):
