Do Qantas Points+Pay fares accrue points and SCs?

This question must have been asked before, but I haven't been able to find the answer. (Maybe you can post a screenshot of the search you put into AFF along with the URL if it has?)

Example booking: 1A2C (effectively 3A for the red e-deals)

SYD-ADL-SYD QF award 72,000 $242.10 (no points/SCs earned)
SYD-ADL-SYD YASA 94,225 $242.10 (2000 points/30 SCs each)
SYD-ADL-SYD points+pay 88,267 $242.10 ??

Yes they do (since you are effectively buying a normal ticket and just using points to reduce the amount of cash you need).

What is the difference between an any seat award (ASA) and points+pay? With my example in the first post, the YASA costs more points than the points+pay, and doesn't appear to provide any additional benefit. Maybe there are other situations where the reverse is true, or there is some other benefit?

It's essentially the same, but I'm sure the fare rules are probably slightly different, you'd need to compare. I think an ASA will come out of award inventory while points + pay will come out of the usual inventory. Interesting differences in the prices though.

Interesting that there's a price difference. What does 1A2C mean?

What fare buckets do the YASA and point+pay tickets book into, respectively?
That may be your answer... or it may have something to do with the fare rules
