Asking on behalf of a friend. Does Qantas Club membership get you access to EK lounges in Australia, Dubai and Egypt? I know that QFF Silver and above will get you in but 'm not sure about QC membership - I've had a quick look but haven't found an answer to this one.

Australia and Dubai, but not Egypt - and must be booked with QF codes.

QFF gold will get you in, not silver.

Those tables are misleading/contradictory IMHO.

The box on the left clearly states "Emerald members enjoy Platinum Frequent Flyer benefits". Even has a link to the benefits.

In the first table, the box on the right clearly states "oneworld flight number" for eligibility.
The little # small print states that it needs to be a oneworld flight number AND a oneworld operated flight.
"# The flight number must be operated and marketed by a oneworld® carrier"

Hence a oneworld Emerald flying EK metal with a QF or EK flight number is not eligible for Qantas Platinum benefits, which is contradictory to the table the link takes you to.

Cheers - I will let her know. Will recommend that she books via the QF website so as she can get lounge access in DXB

I think it clearly says oneworld flight number and gives a definition for that (marketed & operated), and EK flights don't meet that description. I would, however, read that oneworld members get lounge access at QF operated lounges when flying EK sold as QF - as that is a QF flight number (which has no caveat). I am not sure if that is the case.

The QF/EK page linked above doesn't even mention oneworld.

No access to QF lounges for OW elites on QF codeshares on EK metal.

There were some special arrangements at DXB when QF was going through there but not now.

BAEC will award TP and Avios for these flights though.

A further question on this theme - seeing as I can't find a clear answer anywhere on the QF website -
As a QFF Gold travelling on a QF ticket on Emirates metal CAI-DXB and onwards to Oz - can I guest in to the Emirates lounge in Cairo a travelling companion who is QF nothing?

QF really need to come up with a tool on their website where you enter your QFF member level and the route etc and it tells you what you can and can't do!

The first chart is saying if you hold OneWorld Emerald status with an airline frequent flyer program other than Qantas, you get to enjoy those benefits when flying on a OneWorld flight. However, if you are a OneWorld Emerald with Qantas, which is referred to as Qantas Platinum and Qantas Platinum One, then you have access to the lounges both on OneWorld and Qantas flights but also Emirates flights (and flights with luxury brand JétStar too).

In other words, if you are a British Air Gold member you can't just stroll into a Qantas lounge flying Emirates. That's not how that arrangement works. That arrangement between Emirates and Qantas only impacts certain flights with Emirates and Qantas.
