I realise Air Pacific does not officially recognise Qantas FF status, but do they possibly consider it for things such as operational upgrades?

I thought they might given that Air Pacific use Qantas checkin staff in Australia (and they might take it into account), and the fact that they certainly have very close ties with QF.

Any thoughts?

In my experience, yes.

The BEST thing about an op-upgrade on Air Pacific is that you will generally receive the points and credits for a BUSINESS fare, even if you paid discount economy. Wohoo!

Ensure that you book under a QF codeshare (ie: QF Flight Number on your ticket) and your QFF number is in the system as usual.

Air Pacific rocks, awesome airline - just one of many reasons I prefer Fiji to pretty much any destination in the Pacific Region. Your QF-Pub access priviliges will also get you into the Tabua Club lounge in Nadi - I'm not a coffee drinker but everyone who is tells me to watch out for the world's worst coffee.

When flying economy with them I've used the business/ Tabua Club check-in counters in Nadi and Auckland with no problems.

Great airline - enjoy.
